A pair of salt and pepper shakers, likely made of ceramic or porcelain, from an unknown manufacturer; these shakers were made and handpainted in Occupied Japan following World War II. <div><br></div><div>Male figure is intact; he measures about 3.75 inches tall with a weight of 1.7 ounces. Female figure has two small spots of paint missing near back lower edge. She measures 3.5 inches tall with a weight of 2 ounces.<div><br></div><div>Both figures have cork plugs on the bottom. Each figure has 5 holes on the top of the head for salt or pepper dispersal. Both are free from scratches or other flaws other than the two small areas of missing paint noted above for the female figure.</div><div><br></div><div>Shipment by US Postal Service Ground Advantage mail.</div></div>
