This is a vintage 1982 postcard published by Space Unit, featuring Lt. Colonel Guion S. Bluford Jr. of the USAF. He was named in May 1982 as the first black American astronaut and was scheduled to fly aboard the July 1983 flight of the Space Shuttle Challenger.
