Early 19th Century Cloisonné Seal Paste Box / Jewelry Trinket This stunning box was originally designed as a cloisonné seal paste box. Seal paste boxes held an ink paste which was used to sign documents or paintings with a chop (seal) mark. Today, many people use these as trinket boxes for jewelry, coins, to hold other small items or simply to display their beauty. It dates from the early 19th century or may possibly even be slightly earlier. The cover is included and fits nicely without difficulty. Its decorated with scrolling stylized lotus flowers and is in great to excellent pre-owned condition. There is no missing enamel and all in perfectly intact. The metal areas are naturally aged with tarnish; which if you so choose, will shine with polishing. Please see all pics for a more detailed visual description of condition.
