Size 40SPit to Pit 20.5”Length 29”Sleeve 24”Shoulders 18.5”Up for sale is an authentic, vintage U.S. Army "Class A" Green Service Uniform Dress Coat in the iconic AG-44 wool fabric.This jacket features the highly respected rank insignia of a Command Sergeant Major (E-9), the highest non-commissioned officer rank at the battalion level. The left shoulder features the original embroidered shoulder sleeve insignia for the 86th Infantry Division (the "Blackhawk" Division).Wearing the 86th Infantry Division ("Blackhawk") patch on their left shoulder indicates that during this era of their career, they were assigned to this historic division. Following its heavy combat service in WWII, the 86th was active in the Army Reserve components (headquartered in the Midwest/Illinois area) during the Cold War era, where senior NCOs like this CSM were critical in training the next generation of soldiers.The four overseas bars on the right sleeve prove they spent a total of 24 months deployed in a designated combat theater.
