This is a used book from 1955 and shows significant signs of age and wear, which is common for a book of this vintage.• Dust Jacket: The jacket is present but has numerous tears, significant chipping, creasing, and rubbing along all edges and folds (see photos for detail). The material on the spine is torn away near the bottom, exposing the underlying book material.• Book Boards/Cover: The red boards beneath the jacket show some shelf wear. The color may be slightly faded on the edges.• Spine: The spine is intact and the binding is tight. The text on the spine is still visible, reading "THE BOY WHO MADE GOOD" and "Atlantic-Little Brown" (partially obscured).• Interior: Pages show typical age-related tanning/browning (foxing) common with books from this era. • Back Cover Feature: The back of the dust jacket features an interesting section titled "Great Writers on Reading" with quotes from Montaigne, Walt Whitman, Henry David Thoreau, and others.—————————————————————Please review all of the pictures in my listing carefully before purchasing as they are the most accurate part of my description.
