VINTAGE 1980s RUSSIAN LACQUER BOX<br>Hand-painted papier-mâché jewelry/trinket box from Mstera, Russia. Features a gorgeous folk art illustration of "The Frog Princess" fairy tale, signed by artist Z. N. Sakhipova.<br>Stunning high-gloss black finish with an iconic vivid red vermilion interior and detailed gold leaf borders.<div>Material: Papier-mache<br>Perfect statement piece for watches, jewelry, or vanity decor.<br>Good vintage condition. There is a small chip in the tree-trunk artwork on the lid that reveals the black base beneath (see photos). Light scuffs on the bottom/ sides from age.<br>Large long size: 10” x 4.5” x 2”.
