If you know MONIES, you know.This necklace immediately gave me that same fabulous, collected, European art-jewelry energy—the kind of piece that doesn’t simply accessorize an outfit, it defines it.A gorgeous strand of individually shaped banded agate moves through shades of smoky black, espresso, charcoal, taupe and translucent gray, interrupted by beautifully detailed sterling silver spacers. Every stone has its own natural pattern and personality, so the closer you look, the better it gets.And then there is that pendant.A substantial geometric slab of polished banded agate hangs at the center, its natural lines looking almost like layers of smoke suspended inside the stone. It’s sculptural, architectural and wonderfully dramatic without being flashy.The entire piece reminds me of the design language of MONIES—the legendary Copenhagen jewelry house known for turning extraordinary natural materials into oversized, wearable works of art. This is not a MONIES piece and is not being represented as one, but if you love that aesthetic, you’ll understand exactly why this necklace caught my eye.At 24 inches, the length is perfection. I’d wear it over cream cashmere, an oversized white button-down, a black turtleneck, or a beautifully tailored blazer. Hair pulled back, minimal earrings, great shoes.
