Still has the original hang tag — this is genuine deadstock, never worn, from approximately the 1960s–early 1970s. ITEM DETAILS: Brand: Lumber Jack Size: XL / 17–17½ (neck sizing, consistent with the era) Color: Yellow/gold, black, and cream plaid Style: Long sleeve flannel work shirt, button front, dual chest pockets, tan collar lining Fabric: 80% Cotton / 20% Polyester, Perma-Press Made in Guatemala Condition: New with tags — original hang tag still attached, never worn HOW WE KNOW THIS SHIRT IS FROM THE 1960s–70s: We did the homework so you don't have to. Here's the proof: ① RN NUMBER — The inner label shows RN 26818. RN (Registered Identification Number) is a number the FTC issues to U.S. clothing companies. Numbers with only 5 digits were issued in the 1960s and 1970s — 6-digit RNs didn't start until the 1980s. Using the standard dating formula, RN 26818 puts this brand's registration at approximately 1965. ② PERMA-PRESS TAG — The original hang tag reads "Perma-Press." The permanent press process was invented in 1964 and was a massive marketing buzzword through the late 60s and 70s. Brands put it front and center on hang tags during that era. By the 1980s it had faded as a selling point and largely disappeared from tags. ③ NECK SIZING — The label reads XL / 17–17½. That half-inch neck sizing format was standard menswear sizing in the 60s and 70s. Modern shirts use generic S/M/L only. ④ STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL HANG TAG — This shirt was never sold, never worn. It sat in a storage 50+ years. That alone tells you everything. This is the real deal — not a reproduction, not a modern "vintage style" shirt.
