Andy Warhol Mickey Mouse Silkscreen Print w/Diamond Dust Disney Art Edition 1996 Limited Edition 2400 Piece Authorized Authentic Diamond Dust Screenprint that was produced the exact production of Andy Warhols Original 1981 Mickey Mouse Myth Series. This is a RARE FINE ART piece authorized and produced by Disney Art Editions, the Andy Warhol Foundation & Ronald Feldman in the original form of silkscreen with diamond dust and on Lenox Museum board. Estate piece from an Andy Warhol Fine Art Collector who passed away. His family then sold his entire collection piece by piece and I was able to obtain this very special piece. Originally 38x38 but previous owners did have it professionally cut to be framed in a 30"T x 24" Wide Frame for their display of his work. You will not find many pieces on the market that are attributed and authorized by the same people involved in Andy Warhol's original 1981 piece, and it can be seen in the rich colophon across the bottom. With such a limited number produced in 1981, this 1993 post death Authentic Silkscreen has everything with the exception of artist signature. Intentionally done to keep the piece Authentic Warhols signature will not be found on the piece because this is not a copy of his work. It is a tribute and licensed production using Warhols original design, style & extraordinary craftsmanship. In the 1980’s, Ronald Feldman partnered with Andy Warhol to create five projects of prints and paintings: Ten Portraits of Jews of the Twentieth Century, Myths, Endangered Species, Ads, and Moonwalk. Today, the galary maintains the largest inventory and display of Warhols prints. Again this is not a reproduction that was done to mimic his work. This piece was done and authorized by all who were involved in his original 1981 piece. You may see others on the market today. Be sure to look for the authorizations of who created and produced the piece. Ensure you are getting a high quality diamond dust screen printed on Museum board and it has been authorized by his foundation and Ronald Feldman. This piece actually a Disney Art Edition just adds more value, not just being authorized by them as a reprint but this was a piece they had produced in a limited number in collaboration with Andy Warhols original team.
