Genuine 1792 French Assignat – 15 SolsIssued during the height of the French Revolution, this historic 15 sols assignat is an early fiat currency backed by nationalized church lands. Legal warning across the face: "La Loi Punit de Mort Le Contrefacteur" (The law punishes the counterfeiter with death). Beautiful Revolutionary imagery: seated allegorical figures holding "DROIT DE L'HOMME" (Rights of Man) and "LOIS" (Laws). Deep black ink, excellent edge integrity, and no tears or stains. Full denomination 15s (quinze-sols) inside black seal.
