This authentic WWI French 1916 Battle of Verdun medal showcases intricate detail, a testament to its historical significance. A collector's piece, it represents bravery and heritage.• Authentic WWI medal • Battle of Verdun 1916 • French historical item • Intricate detailing The Verdun Medal was established on 20 November 1916 and was issued to French and allied soldiers who participated in the Battle for Verdun from February to November 1916. There were six variations of the Verdun Medal. This medal is the Revillon type, 4th variation.All varieties of this medal are scarce. This has a loop and no ribbon. Already a scarce item the amount of luster still remaining on this piece is even a rare find. I could not find but less then 5 that still has a glow to it and I really think this was the best out of all I seen. There Ladies shirt still has the mermaid like curves. The fingers and facial features for both are amazing, even the others that were close had wear to the swords at the end. Even the collar of the mams shirt has the lines just like the day made. You may be able to find one better but I really want to stress I took the top looking a museum pieces, coin collector pieces, military collectors pieces & past sales. I just didn't see the luster and every bit of detail as with this one. But please take your time and do your due diligence. Lots of luster, darkening in the top area and a little green around the arm on one side.
