Very early Miriam Haskell bracelet. Not signed, but original paper tag from department store still attached. Loehmann's sold Miriam Haskell jewelry, including early, unsigned pieces, as part of their discounted designer offerings, with specific examples featuring original Loehmann's paper tags paired with Haskell items. While Loehmann's was famous for offering discounted designer goods throughout the 20th century up until its initial closure in 2014, specific items such as the early, unsigned enamel butterfly panel bracelet with a Loehmann's paper tag indicate they were selling these, or at least that specific, early piece, at some point before the tag was removed by the consumer. The jewelry often appeared with the original Haskell label or, in the case of some earlier items, simply with a Loehmann’s paper tag, making them a "hidden gem" or unsigned find. Loehmann's was a staple for finding designer and high-end costume jewelry at lower prices in NYC and nationally.Since listing the piece, the tag has worn off, unfortunately.
