Model & HistoryFor sale is a vintage Seiko DX automatic wristwatch, reference 6106-5009. Based on the serial number (941195), this piece was manufactured in April 1969. It features the iconic, retro square "TV screen" stainless steel case that perfectly encapsulates late-1960s and early-1970s watch design.Dial & FeaturesMovement: Seiko 6106 caliber, 17-jewel automatic (self-winding).Dial: Gold/Champagne sunburst dial with applied block markers and the "DX" logo at 6 o'clock.Complications: Dual-window day and date display at 3 o'clock.Crown: Recessed crown located at the 4 o'clock position.Band: Comes attached to a vintage, period-correct stainless steel mesh/brick-link adjustable bracelet. Condition DescriptionFunctionality: The watch is running and keeping time. However, as a vintage mechanical timepiece with an unknown service history, a professional overhaul is recommended for optimal daily accuracy.Crystal: Original acrylic crystal shows heavy scratching and crazing throughout, typical of its age. The dial underneath remains highly legible.Case & Bezel: The stainless steel case is unpolished and shows honest signs of wear, including minor scuffs, light surface scratches, and pocket grime accumulation along the caseback edges.Caseback: Fully legible text cleanly displaying "WATER RESIST", "STAINLESS STEEL", "6106-5009", and serial "941195".Bracelet: The vintage mesh band shows some gold-tone plating wear/discoloration near the clasp mechanisms, but the clasp functions properly.
