Vintage Hobé Signed Turquoise Color Nugget & White Shell Bead Strand Necklace - Pat. 3427691This is an authentic 1970s couture costume necklace designed by the prestigious New York design house, Hobé. The piece features a vibrant single strand of irregularly shaped, tumbled turquoise-color nugget beads alternated with sliced white organic spacer discs (resembling polished shell, howlite, or mother-of-pearl).The necklace is fitted with its original mid-century mechanical slide/box closure clasp. One flank of the clasp bar is cleanly hit-stamped "Hobé", and the opposing side reads "Patent 3427691", confirming its production year utilizing the famous 1969 James R. Johnston mechanical coupling design. ConditionOverall Condition: Pre-owned - Very Good / Good Vintage Condition.Hardware Functionality: The premium mechanical slide clasp functions perfectly, locking tightly and securely with an intact spring push mechanism.Metal Component: The gold-tone brass plating on the clasp mechanism shows light, age-appropriate surface tarnish and micro-scratching but retains its original bright vintage shine.Beads & Cord: The structural stringing is tight with no structural gaps or fraying.
