Up for sale is a vintage pewter hip flask with an elephant hallmark, stamped Thailand Pewter. This piece features decorative edging, a screw-top cap, and a personalized engraving: “Steve – November 25, 1994.”Details:Material: PewterMark: Elephant hallmark with “Thailand – Pewter”Height: Approx. 3.25" without top Personalized Engraving: “Steve – November 23, 1994”Condition: Vintage wear with tarnish, scratches, and a few dents consistent with age. One major indentation at not sure if useable. Cap intact. See photos for details. I am unable to unscrew cap. Collector’s Note:This flask is part of the long tradition of Thai pewter craftsmanship, sometimes referred to as “Siam Pewter.” Thailand was formerly known as Siam until 1939, and many pewter companies continued using the Siam name in branding for heritage and export appeal. Pewter from Thailand is known for its quality and distinctive elephant hallmarks, symbolizing strength and heritage.
