Practically speaking, no key code from this box will allow someone to play original Overwatch, because the original game no longer exists as a standalone playable product.Original Retail Requirement: When this boxed set was sold at retail, it included a one-time Battle.net digital registration code to link the game and its 15 bonus skins to a user account.Modern Operational Status: Blizzard permanently shut down the original Overwatch servers in October 2022 and replaced the game entirely with Overwatch 2, which is a free-to-play digital download. The Physical Disc Today: Inserting the DVD-ROM into a modern PC will simply prompt Battle.net to update and download Overwatch 2 for free over the internet. The disc itself cannot run standalone gameplay or bypass online servers.Because of this, buyers on eBay purchase this boxed release purely as a physical media collectible, shelf display, and big-box packaging set, not for an active CD keyThe Overwatch Legendary Edition for PC and DVD-ROM is a collector's edition video game featuring the popular shooter and role-playing game elements. Published by Blizzard Entertainment in 2018, this edition includes the full game with multiplayer and online playability. The game is rated T for Teen and belongs to the NTSC-U/C region, making it suitable for players in the US and Canada. With the addition of a manual and special features, this edition is a must-have for fans of the Overwatch series.Codes?
