Item DescriptionUp for your consideration is a beautiful, highly collectible pair of genuine Antique Art Deco (1920s - 1930s) Bookends featuring a stately Irish Setter / Pointer Hunting Dog in a mountain landscape scene. This set was produced by the legendary Jennings Brothers Manufacturing Company of Bridgeport, Connecticut, and bears their official mold catalog number "JB. 3284.".Both pieces are completely original and carry an incredible sculptural heft, weighing a combined 6 lbs 7 oz. Crafted from heavy non-ferrous white art metal, they feature Jennings Brothers' signature premium electroplated brass/gold finish, highlighting the wonderful fur texture and crisp outdoor details. ConditionIn good antique condition with a gorgeous, genuine aged patina. Consistent with their 90+ year age, there is some surface pitting and a small, minor spot of verdigris corrosion on one bookend (right bookend, on the background mountain as shown in the photographs). Undersides do not have felt but may never have. No structural cracks, breaks, or repairs. Please examine all high-resolution images closely to evaluate the exact cosmetic condition.
