This item will not be shipped; any purchases requesting shipping will be canceled.Description:Authentic vintage Gott Corporation 2.5-gallon portable gasoline container, Model 1226.Manufactured in Winfield, Kansas, USA, with a molded date wheel indicating 1985 production.Highly sought-after pre-ban design featuring the traditional threaded rear vent for smoother pouring without restrictive modern spill-proof mechanisms.Includes an flexible spout with an integrated internal mesh filter screen.Condition:This is one of several gas cans listed; they are in usable, pre-owned condition. Expect typical minor surface wear, light scuffs, and cosmetic weathering from storage consistent with age. *Note, gas cans were washed down prior to photographsWell-used vintage utility item with typical scuffs, dirt, and ground residue from age and garage storage.Plastic has naturally sun-faded over time from original red to a distinct pink hue; faded hand written marker "shake well".The structure remains solid, and the molded regulatory text, Massachusetts approval stamp (1987), and date dial are fully legible.Missing vent capItem is sold as-is.
