Item: Vintage Connecticut State Board of Fisheries and Game Official Envelope with Original ContentsEstimated Era: c. 1926–1935 (Deduced via 1926 manufacturing patent and state agency history)Origin: Return address to State Capitol, Hartford, CONN.Description:Original kraft paper envelope issued by the Connecticut State Board of Fisheries and Game. The front features the early Connecticut state seal and official return address. The envelope has a period pencil notation reading "Lespedeza seeds for cabin" and still contains the original seeds distributed by the state. This program was phased out around 1935 when state and federal conservation models restructured.Manufacturing Markings (Envelope):Brand: Columbian Natural Clasp No. 15N (United States Envelope Co., Springfield, Mass.)Dimensions: 4" x 6 3/8"Patent Marks: PAT. 1,290,083 & PAT. 1,593,048 (The 1,593,048 patent was granted in July 1926, establishing the earliest possible production date).Condition:Good vintage condition with natural aging, toning, and handling creases. No major tears. Graphics and text are clear. Please see photos for physical condition. Disclaimer Regarding Seeds:The original historical seeds written on the envelope are still contained inside. Please note that this item is being sold strictly as a historical artifact, ephemera, and a museum-quality curios piece.
