Description:Up for sale is a classic vintage Sears Solid State Dwell-Tachometer automotive diagnostic tool (Model 161.2177). Dating from the mid-to-late 1970s or early 1980s, this era-accurate piece of garage history features retro block typography and Sears' signature checkered racing flag emblem. The serial number "17399" and a partial "MADE IN U.S.A." print remain legible. The surrounding textured plastic shows standard fine scuffing and garage grime. The internal components, calibration accuracy, and electrical continuity are untested. Due to the lack of testing history and missing original documentation, this vintage electrical diagnostic item is sold as-is for parts, repair, or collectible display.--These items are part of an estate from a collector and carpenter by trade (descended from other crafts-persons, mostly in Connecticut).
