DescriptionOffered for local pickup is an authentic, pre-war vintage unpressurized vehicle downflow radiator assembly, likely originating from a 1930s Farmall F-20 or F-30 series tractor. This unique unit features non-ferrous brass top and bottom tanks joined by magnetic structural steel side channels. Incorporating a built-in circular rear fan shroud, an integrated central steering shaft pass-through hole, and a lower hand-crank access notch, this piece displays a high-character industrial silhouette. Given its extensive historical weathering and warped contours, this item serves as a fantastic candidate for an authentic rustic display piece, industrial garage artifact, or historical reference relic.SpecificationsEra: Circa 1930s (Pre-War)Probable Brand Alignment: Farmall / International Harvester Co.Tank Material: Non-ferrous brassSide Channel Material: Magnetic structural steel (smooth, non-cast iron)Core Dimensions: Approx. 25 x 13.5 x 5.75 inches (excluding plumbing protrusions)Features: Integrated circular rear sheet metal fan shroud, upper rear bolted-on water inlet elbow, dual lower frame mounting studs, and a copper overflow lineConditionTank & Grille Alignment: The upper brass header tank exhibits noticeable historical warping and is misshaped compared to its original factory form. The front grille shell and perimeter framework show numerous bent sections and general metal misalignment from decades of use.Core Fins: The internal cooling core is structurally complete from top to bottom. The horizontal fins across the upper and center sections remain uniform and straight. The lower front quadrant exhibits a localized zone of heavy mechanical crushing, where the soft outer fins are flattened against the internal vertical tubes. The core has not been pressure tested and its fluid-holding capability is unknown.Shroud & Seams: The rear circular steel fan shroud displays localized wrinkling and edge warping along the left perimeter. A visible gap is present at the upper seam where the steel shroud interfaces with the brass top tank.Plumbing: The lower cast water outlet neck displays a fractured, uneven mouth showing remnants of an older field-repair or modification.Finish: Exhibits a rich, natural weathered patina with surface rust across the steel side channels and significant portions of flaking original red enamel paint over the brass components.Extensive labor and fabrication would be required to restore this to functional mechanical standards; it is being offered strictly as a non-functional decorative antique. This item is sold as-is.Pickup InformationLocation: Available for local pickup only in Farmington, Connecticut (Zip Code: 06032).--These items are part of an estate from a collector and carpenter by trade (descended from other crafts-persons, mostly in Connecticut).
