Beautiful, authentic vintage French silver plate (métal argenté) covered entrée serving dish/tureen manufactured by the highly regarded French silversmith Saint-Médard Paris (founded 1898). Features an elegant, classic Louis XV style scalloped edge border on both the base platter and the matching lid. The lid includes its original central decorative handle/finial entirely intact. The underside of the base and the interior rim of the lid bear the official Saint-Médard hallmarks, including the "S M" initials with a central shield icon and the "St Médard" stylized name stamp. This heavy-gauge, estate-quality piece is in excellent vintage condition with bright silver plating, showing only standard light surface micro-scratches from gentle use. No visible bleeding, dents, or deep scratches. Perfect for a luxury holiday tablescape, fine dining display, or European silver collection.
