RARE 1953 First Edition: Cuisine et Vins de France by Curnonsky - Larousse HC The "Bible" of French Gastronomy – A True Collector’s Piece. Binding: Original red textured hardcover with elegant gilt (gold) lettering and embossed mid-century modern bottle/glass motif on the spine and front. Exterior: The red boards and spine are in remarkably good condition. The gilt is bright and the shelf wear is minimal for a book of this age and weight. • Interior: The pages are clean and the binding is square and tight. • Note on Flaws: There is a clean tear on the front decorative endpaper (see photos). This does not affect the text or the structural integrity of the binding. See pics. • Overall: A beautiful, display-worthy copy that has been well-preserved.
