Crafted in Canada from French-sourced leather, this vintage J.J. Farmer car coat offers a rugged, timeless look with classic safari jacket styling. The dark brown leather shell features a textured finish with broad lapels, a three-button front closure, and deep front flap pockets. Inside, the body is constructed with a split-lining design, featuring a smooth quilted upper section paired with a woven wool lower panel for warmth.Designed as a men's size Large, this coat offers a generous relaxed fit. Flat measurements record a 28-inch chest width from pit to pit, a 33-inch length from shoulder to hem, a 37.5-inch sleeve length from the center back of the neck to the cuff, and an 18-inch underarm inseam from pit to cuff. Material details include a 100% genuine leather outer shell, a quilted upper lining, a 100% wool lower lining, and an acetate sleeve lining.The jacket displays genuine vintage wear throughout the leather shell, including natural color variation, edge wear, and localized surface dryness with minor abrasion. The interior lower wool lining shows scattered small moth nibbles, and the top button at the collar is loose and needs to be re-sewn. This remains a sturdy, oversized vintage Canadian-made leather jacket with plenty of character.
