Vintage SNACK Sunday Benefit concert ticket stub from March 23, 1975 at Kezar Stadium in San Francisco, California. The brainchild of concert promoter Bill Graham, this legendary and quite early (10 years before Live Aid) benefit concert featured an incredible lineup of musicians, celebrities and athletes, and was the live debut of "Blues for Allah" by the Grateful Dead (billed as Jerry Garcia & Friends) a full 5 months before the album was released later that year in September.The sold-out show of over 60,000 fans were treated to sets from the likes of Santana, Joan Baez, The Doobie Brothers, Jefferson Starship and several others. Interspersed throughout the show were appearances from famous athletes and celebrities such as Willie Mays, Jesse Owens and Marlon Brando.Closing out the show was Neil Young, backed by Levon Helm and Rick Danko from The Band. And if that wasn't enough they were joined, in a surprise appearance, by Bob Dylan. They played "Knockin' on Heaven's Door", "Helpless" & "The Weight" among other material and covers.This ticket has been authenticated, graded & encapsulated by PSA (Cert #166430953). Grade is PSA 3 VG. This is the only graded example of this ticket stub in the PSA Population report.
