Depression Era & WWII Homefront Token Collection (4 Pieces)Own a tangible piece of American history from the 1930s and 40s. This lot features state-issued tax tokens and a rare WWII ration point, showing how Americans handled everyday commerce during difficult times.Lot Includes:Washington State Tax Token: Issued by the Tax Commission; aluminum with a center hole.Colorado Retail Sales Tax Token: Distinctive square-hole aluminum token.Missouri Sales Tax Receipt: Dark fiber/plastic token featuring the state map.WWII Red OPA Token: 1 Red Point used for rationing meat and fats during the war.Historical Context:Tax Tokens: These were used during the Depression to pay sales tax on small purchases (like a nickel candy bar) when the tax was less than one cent.OPA Tokens: Issued by the Office of Price Administration to give change for food stamps during WWII.Condition: Circulated.
