Up for sale is a truly unique piece of Pacific Northwest craft: a substantial, beautifully hand-worked large knapped rough spearhead / hand-axe display piece. Weighing a hefty 281 grams (nearly 10 ounces), this entire piece represents a genuine slice of Oregon geology and hand-craftsmanship.The Oregon Story:Hand Found: The raw material was locally field-collected right out of the ground in Wasco County, Oregon.Hand Made: I personally hand-shaped and flaked this raw specimen right here in Oregon using traditional flintknapping techniques, working the stone down into a classic prehistoric projectile aesthetic shape.
