Comprises six cups and seven saucers in striking burgundy-red and white porcelain with elaborate gilt scrolling, floral motifs, and decorative borders. Gold-trimmed rims and handles. Marked “MEITO MADE IN JAPAN HAND PAINTED” to undersides.</p><br /><p>Condition notes — please read before bidding:</p><br /><p> • Gold loss visible on rim of one cup</p><p> • One hairline crack (minor)</p><p> • One cup has a small chip</p><br /><p>These are reflected in the starting price.
