Beautiful, authentic Victorian-era cast brass commemorative trivet produced in England to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1897. Features a central relief portrait of Queen Victoria sporting her iconic "Veiled Bust" / "Old Head" likeness, complete with her bridal veil and coronation necklace. Below her image is a scrolled banner reading: "60th Year of H.M. Reign" commemorating her historic 60-year milestone on the British throne. The portrait is framed by intricate Victorian pierced openwork featuring elegant acanthus leaf and scroll motifs. Some light wear from use over the years, but in excellent condition considering the age. Measures 8 1/2" x 5" x 1".
