Description:Offered by Misbehaving LLC is this charming set of two authentic vintage German salt-glazed stoneware pitchers. Produced by the renowned Wick Werke factory in the Westerwald region of Germany, these pieces feature the classic cobalt blue relief on a grey-salt glaze background.The relief-molded design depicts playful cherubs (putti) harvesting large clusters of grapes amidst scrolling vines. Each pitcher bears the traditional German tavern motto:"Trinkt wie eure Väter aus Stein den Wein" > (Translation: "Drink wine from stone as your fathers did")Set Includes:0.5 Liter Pitcher: Stands approximately 6.5 inches tall. Features the "W" in a shield hallmark on the base.0.2 Liter Pitcher: Small companion jug, perfect for cream, syrup, or a single glass of wine.Condition:Excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs found. The glaze is bright and the cobalt blue is deep and well-defined.
