This is a charming vintage porcelain teapot featuring a classic spiral swirl (ribbed) design. The body is adorned with delicate floral sprig transfers of pink and orange roses with gold-tone foliage. It includes a matching swirl lid with a steam vent hole. While the style is very reminiscent of mid-century English makers like Sadler or Arthur Wood, this piece is unmarked on the bottom. It features hand-painted gold gilt accents on the rim, handle, and spout. Condition - PLEASE READ This item is being sold AS-IS due to damage. Please review all photos carefully: Spout Damage: There is a significant chip and a small crack at the very tip of the spout (see Photos 2, 9, and 11). Wear: There is some light thinning to the gold gilt trim on the handle and rim consistent with age. General: No other cracks or crazing noted on the main body. The interior shows very light tea staining. Bottom: Unmarked/unsigned.
