Up for sale is a beautiful pair of vintage altar-style candle holders by Emkay. This set features a striking mixed-material design with polished brass pillars set upon tiered, architectural wooden bases. These have a distinct Mid-Century Modern or Neoclassical feel, making them perfect for a mantle, holiday display, or traditional altar use. Included in this set: (2) Brass & Wood Stands: Measuring approximately 7.5" tall. (2) Brass Liquid Candle Inserts: Features off-white/cream colored sleeves to mimic the look of real taper candles. (1) Large White Pillar Candle: Used for display or as a central focal point. (1) Original Emkay Box. Condition Details (C.Y.A.): Brass: Shows some signs of age, including light tarnish and "verdigris" (green oxidation) inside the candle cups and on the inserts (see photos). Could be polished or left with its current vintage patina. Wood: The tiered bases are in good structural shape with minor surface scuffs consistent with age. Sleeves: The cream-colored sleeves on the inserts show some light wear/marks from previous use. Functionality: The interior of the inserts shows some wax residue. Please see photos for a close-up of the threading and interior condition. Dimensions: Stands: ~7.5" Height (see ruler photos for scale). Base: ~4" x 4" square.
