This vintage clockwork wind-up running rabbit toy features a beautifully detailed, textured body designed to mimic carved wood. Molded from a distinct marbled or swirled caramel-brown hard plastic (characteristic of 1950s Marx plastic compositions), this charming collectible features painted black eyes, a black nose, and an integrated metal key on its side. The undercarriage reveals a mechanical clockwork frame with four metal wheels designed to make the rabbit run or roll forward across smooth surfaces rather than hop. Condition Notes Cosmetic: Excellent vintage condition. The plastic body is structurally sound with no apparent cracks, chips, or major structural breaks. There is light surface wear and minor scuffing consistent with age. Mechanical: The integrated metal wind-up key turns, and the internal clockwork gears engage.
