Item: Vintage Mid-Century "Japanese Village" Deer / Fawn Miniature Figurine Origin: Made in Japan (Stamped "JAPAN" on the lower rear base edge) Material: Cast metal with a brass/bronze-toned finish; enamel-painted shield logo Base Finish: Green felt bottom lining Item Measurements Height: Approx. 3" to 3.5" Description & Appeal This charming mid-century souvenir features a stylized, Bambi-esque fawn standing on a textured grassy mound. The front of the piece boasts a striking, fully intact cream and red enamel shield badge reading "JAPANESE VILLAGE" with a traditional Torii gate icon. It has a wonderful aged patina that gives it an authentic antique look, making it a lovely display piece for a tiered tray, printer's drawer, or vintage souvenir collection. Condition Report: AS IS / DAMAGED Please review all photos carefully before bidding, as this item has significant condition issues and is being sold AS IS: Structural Damage: There is a large, noticeable hole/crack where the metal has broken away on the lower left side and back of the textured grass base (see photos 5, 6, and 7). Cosmetic Wear: The piece shows an uneven aged patina, oxidation, and dark tarnish spots across the finish, consistent with its age. The enamel front shield is still firmly attached and in good cosmetic shape. The green felt bottom remains intact. Perfect for a collector who doesn't mind a piece with character, or for a shelf display where the damaged side can face the back! Shipped securely from a smoke-free home.
