Up for sale is a vintage 2-piece lot of Avon Fine Collectibles lidded beer steins, handcrafted in Brazil by Ceramarte. Both steins come complete with their original boxes and brochure paperwork! LOT INCLUDES: 1. 1993 Avon "A Century of Basketball" Stein (#55905) - Honors the history of basketball from 1891–1993, highlighting Springfield, Mass. and key eras of the game. - Basketball texture embossed lid with a pewter basketball player finial and basketball hoop thumbrest. - Underside of lid features an embossed court diagram and "1891–1993". 2. 1991 Avon "Great Dogs of the Outdoors" Stein (#61278) - Detailed high-relief wrap-around design featuring popular hunting and sporting dog breeds (Irish Setter, Weimaraner, Brittany Spaniel, English Setter, Labrador Retriever, and more). - Sculpted ceramic handle features a green cattail/reeds motif. - Metal lid with a sculpted dog finial and a flying duck/pheasant thumbrest. Underside of lid features a raised pewter scene of flying game birds over hunting dogs. - Stamped on the bottom: "Great Dogs of the Outdoors Stein, Handcrafted in Brazil Exclusively for Avon Products, Inc. 1991 #61278" with original Ceramarte foil sticker attached. CONDITION: Both steins are in overall excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing observed on the ceramic bodies, handles, or lids. Metal hinges open and close smoothly, and the interiors are sparkling clean. Original green Avon boxes and insert papers/brochures are included (boxes show light shelf wear from age/storage).
