Vintage 1939 The American Woman's Cook Book Hardcover A classic pre-WWII American culinary reference edited by Ruth Berolzheimer (Director of the Culinary Arts Institute). This classic 1939 edition features the desirable thumb-indexed die-cut edge tabs for fast, easy navigation across recipe categories, along with vibrant color photograph plates throughout. Key Details: Publisher: Consolidated Book Publishers, Inc., Chicago (1939) Features: Complete thumb index tabs (Sandwiches, Salads, Meats, Desserts, etc.) and full-page color plates. Content: Packed with vintage recipes, menu guides, table settings, and classic mid-century cooking techniques. Condition Notes: Covers & Spine: Teal textured cloth cover shows wear. There is notable heavy fraying, cloth tearing, and loss along the top edge of the spine (see photos). Covers remain attached. Binding: Binding is intact and holding firm despite top spine wear.
