Jim Weisgerber (Appleton, Wisconsin) Year: 1985 Species: Canvasback Drake Construction: Hand-carved and hand-painted wood Overview: Up for sale is a stunning, authentic hand-carved wood duck decoy by renowned Wisconsin artist Jim Weisgerber. This 1985 piece captures the Canvasback Drake with intricate, textured feathering and vibrant red eyes. It is stamped and hand-signed on the bottom: "Handcrafted by Jim Weisgerber, Appleton, WI, ‘85." Condition Details: This vintage piece is in good overall condition but does show signs of its age. There is a visible crack and a small chip in the wood on the upper back/wing area (please see photos #4 and #8 for close-ups). The paint remains vibrant, and the structural integrity of the head and bill is excellent. Measurements: Length: Approx. 10 inches Width: Approx. 5 inches Height: Approx. 5.5 inches
