Add a touch of rustic Mid-Century Modern charm to your kitchen or table with this vintage wooden salt and pepper set. This unique set features a traditional pour-top salt shaker and a manual crank-handle pepper mill/grinder. Both pieces are beautifully hand-painted with a vibrant rooster and grass motif on warm, natural-grain wood. Item Details Set Includes: 1 Salt Shaker, 1 Pepper Mill (Grinder) Material: Solid Wood with Metal Hardware Design: Hand-Painted Rooster/Cockerel Pattern Origin: Made in Japan (Stamped/Embossed on bottom) Style: Farmhouse / Mid-Century Modern / Kitsch Approximate Dimensions: ~3" tall (excluding grinder handle) Condition Report This set is in good vintage condition with character-adding patina consistent with age. The wood shows some light surface wear and minor scuffing (see photos). The hand-painted graphics remain bright and legible. The pepper mill crank turns smoothly. The metal top on the salt shaker shows some aged oxidation/discoloration, typical for Japanese kitchenware of this era. No cracks or major chips in the wood.
