Classic Mid-Century Nostalgia for the Young Chef! Up for sale is a wonderful 1955 First Edition of the Better Homes and Gardens Junior Cook Book. This "Hostess & Host of Tomorrow" guide was designed to teach children the basics of cooking with fun, easy-to-follow recipes and charming mid-century illustrations. Item Highlights: Format: Original 3-ring binder style, allowing the book to lay flat on the counter. Content: Includes all the classic sections: Beverages, Breads/Sandwiches, Desserts, Main Dishes, and Vegetables/Salads. Visuals: Filled with adorable 1950s-era drawings and full-color food photography (including the famous "Baked Apples" and "Cheese Chips"). Educational: Features "How-to" sections on table settings and kitchen safety that are a perfect time capsule of 1950s domestic life.
