This is a beautiful, highly-collectible Steiff "Joggi" Hedgehog (Model 1675/18), handcrafted in Western Germany. Known for their incredible realism and quality, this vintage plush is a must-have for serious Steiff collectors or lovers of woodland-themed decor. Joggi features thick, multi-tonal faux fur designed to mimic hedgehog quills, a soft plush face with alert black eyes, a fuzzy pom-pom nose, and sweet felt feet on the underside. This particular piece is in excellent vintage condition, having been well-preserved with all identifying markers intact. Key Features & Details: Authenticity: Includes the iconic brass "Knopf Im Ohr" (Button in Ear) with the yellow tag, the round "Joggi" chest tag, and the original "Für immer Dein" care booklet. Production Era: Tagged "Made in Western Germany," dating this piece to the late 1970s or 1980s. Identification Number: 1675/18. Dimensions: Approximately 7 inches in length (see photos for measurement). Materials: High-quality covering consisting of 75% Acrylic and 25% Cotton. Condition: Excellent. The fur is clean and fluffy, the tags are crisp, and there are no noted odors or stains. Care Instructions (per original tag): This item is surface washable. Use a damp cloth with mild soap or detergent foam. Shake and comb the fabric during the drying process to maintain the softness and "quill" texture.
