Vintage Ceramic Elephant Figurine – Made in Japan Up for sale is a charming vintage porcelain/ceramic elephant figurine. This piece features a glossy gray glaze with beautifully subtle hand-painted pink and light blue accents inside the ears. The elephant is depicted in a classic stance with its trunk curled upward—historically a symbol of good luck! The underside is stamped with a crisp, black "JAPAN" mark and features a traditional kiln ventilation hole. It’s a wonderful, nostalgic addition for any elephant lover or vintage porcelain collector. Item Details & Features: Material: Porcelain / Ceramic Finish: High-gloss glaze Colors: Soft gray gradient, white underbelly, pink/blue ear accents, and black painted eyes/toenails. Markings: Stamped "JAPAN" on the underbelly. Size: Small/Miniature (fits comfortably in the palm of a hand). Condition Note: This vintage item is in good overall condition with great color retention and shine. It does show minor signs of age characteristic of mid-century Japanese ceramics: Light, natural crazing is visible in the glaze upon close inspection (primarily on the flanks and legs, as seen in photos). There are a few tiny, minor factory glaze skips/fleabites and dark spots on the top of the head from the original firing process. No major chips, cracks, or repairs.
