Add a touch of historic Parisian charm to your desk or antique collection with this vintage French souvenir desk inkwell. Crafted from a silver-toned cast white metal (spelter/pot metal), this detailed piece features a miniature replica of the iconic Arc de Triomphe architectural monument set against an Art Deco-influenced decorative base. The front of the monument base is clearly embossed with the text: "SOUVENIR DE PARIS ARC DE TRIOMPHE". Features & Details: Architecture & Design: Detailed miniature Arc de Triomphe monument acting as the centerpiece, complete with classic relief work on the pillars. Hinged Inkwell: Features a single integrated, hexagonal inkwell with a beautifully detailed floral/starburst hinged lid. The lid opens smoothly. Pen Rest: A wide, stylized sweeping frame in front of the monument serves as a convenient dip pen rest. Authenticity Marks: The underside of both the base and the hinged lid are cleanly stamped "MADE IN FRANCE". Era: Circa 1920s–1930s Condition Note: This item is in excellent vintage condition with a beautiful, natural aged patina. The casting details remain sharp and clear. The hinge on the inkwell lid is intact and functions properly. As is common with these authentic estate finds, the small removable glass or lead ink insert is missing from the well (empty interior shown in photos). No major cracks, breaks, or repairs visible.
