Marigold Carnival Glass "Twins" Pattern Punch / Fruit Bowl Pedestal Base Stand Up for your consideration is a stunning, authentic piece of antique American heritage: an Imperial Glass Company pressed carnival glass pedestal base in the highly sought-after "Twins" pattern (introduced circa 1909). Finished in a radiant, fiery marigold (originally referred to by Imperial as "Rubigold"), this piece boasts a highly reflective, iridescent luster with beautiful pink, blue, and green oil-slick highlights under the light. Pattern & Features: Exquisite Geometric Details: Features the classic "Twins" design showcasing twin hobstars separated by precise geometric arches, intricate diamond-point fields, and zippered starburst elements. Intricate Base & Rim: The wide collar base is adorned with a dense sawtooth/diamond cut pattern. The top opening features a beautifully crimped and ruffled flared rim. Versatility: While originally manufactured to serve as the structural pedestal base for the large, two-piece Twins master punch or fruit bowl, this stunning piece is frequently collected and displayed completely upside down as a standalone ruffled celery vase or accent compote. Dimensions: Height: 6" Top Flared Rim Opening: 7.25" Bottom Base Diameter: Approx. 5.25" Condition: Excellent Antique Condition. This piece is free of any major structural flaws, large cracks, or glaring defects. Please inspect the photos closely: there is incredibly minor, age-appropriate shelf wear on the base ring and a typical, tiny straw mark/mold line indentation from the manufacturing process (perfectly normal for early 1900s pressed EAPG glass).
