Up for sale is a beautiful vintage pair of hand-carved solid wood bookends featuring a sleeping boy and girl. These charming Asian-inspired folk art figurines are carved from a single piece of wood, depicting a young boy and girl peacefully resting their heads on green textured melons or balls. Each figure features lovely, subtle hand-painted accents with soft pink and blue details on their traditional clothing, giving them a wonderfully rustic, weathered character. One of the bases shows an estate or maker mark handwritten in marker on the unfinished bottom.
