Beautiful set of 7 antique gold rimmed soup bowls (8.5") by John Maddock & Sons, Burslem, England. These pieces feature a delicate violet floral transfer-print pattern with green foliage, a scalloped rim, and hand-painted gold gilt edges. Each bowl bears the "Royal Vitreous" crown backstamp used by the pottery in the late 19th century. Condition: Antiques in "Good" condition for their age. All 7 bowls show minor blemishes consistent with Victorian-era dinnerware, which may include: Light surface scratches from cutlery use. Minor wear to the gold gilt along the scalloped edges. Occasional small manufacturing "flea bites" or light crazing under the glaze. No major cracks or large chips. Please see photos for detailed views of the floral patterns and rim condition.
