Brand: Cattaraugus Cutlery Co. Origin: Little Valley, NY, USA Era: Mid-Century (circa 1940s-1950s) Up for sale is a classic American-made Cattaraugus Meat Cleaver. This heavy-duty kitchen tool features the high-quality craftsmanship that made the Little Valley company a legend in US cutlery. Key Features: Precision Blade: Features the original Cattaraugus factory stamp on the face of the blade. The steel shows a beautiful vintage patina and is ready for use or display. Rare Checkered Grip: Unlike common wood-handle models, this cleaver features a handle with a molded diamond-cut (checkered) pattern. This design was specifically engineered for a secure, non-slip grip during heavy use.
