Beautiful Antique Hand-Carved Scenic Shell Cameo Up for sale is a stunning and unique hand-carved shell cameo featuring a rare tropical landscape. While many cameos depict portraits, this "scenic" style is highly collectible. Design: Intricately detailed carving of a leaning palm tree next to a small tropical hut or beach structure against a layered shell background. Craftsmanship: Fine relief carving showcasing the natural color variations of the shell. Setting: Housed in an elegant oval bezel frame. The setting is 18k gold plated. The pin stem is base metal with a C clasp. Condition: Excellent antique condition with no visible cracks to the shell. Please see photos for detailed views of the carving and frame and acid test.
