Towncraft by JCPenney sport coat in bright red waffle knit, size 46R, fitting like a modern XL. True 1970s construction: wide notch lapels with a proper roll, a two button front with silver tone crest buttons and matching buttons at the cuffs, flap patch pockets at the hips, a welt breast pocket, and a single center vent. Half lined in salmon pink through the shoulders and chest with an interior welt pocket, the lighter build these knit jackets were made with. The polyester carries a fine waffle texture, a tight grid of raised rectangles that catches light across the surface, with the body and shape retention of seventies tailoring. The red has held with no fading. Long through the body with a roomy chest and a soft shoulder. Measurements (laid flat, approximate): Pit to pit: 24" Shoulder: 19" Sleeve: 26.5" Length (back of collar): 32" Condition: Pre-owned - Good. Fabric is very good throughout. All buttons present with wear to the metal faces. Ships fast, carefully packed.
