This is a massive 35 pound unopened Kentucky geode rattler, hand-collected from the Broughtontown area of Kentucky, a well-known region within the Fort Payne geode formation.The weight, shell thickness, and audible rattle strongly suggest a large internal cavity with free-moving crystal material inside. Geodes of this size are increasingly difficult to source intact, especially true rattlers with confirmed internal movement.This specimen has never been cut, cracked, or altered. What’s inside has remained sealed by nature for millions of years. Once opened, it can never be returned to its original state.Each Kentucky geode is naturally unique.
