Vintage 1970 St Mary's Church Marshalltown Iowa Century History Book Signed Discover a beautifully preserved slice of Midwestern local history! A Century of Service to God and Community chronicles the rich history of St. Mary's Church in Marshalltown, Iowa, spanning from 1869 to 1969. Written by local journalist and WWII submarine veteran Wendell R. Benson, this commemorative book was published in 1970 by the Marshall Printing Company for St. Mary's Altar and Rosary Society. This unique copy features an original cover illustration by James H. Crosby and is loaded with vintage black-and-white photographic plates, including a view of "The First St. Mary's Institute As It Appeared in 1898." Adding to its sentimental historical value, the inside cover features a sweet, handwritten inscription dated "3-22-70" from a parishioner to his brother: "Keep & Enjoy, Compliments of Your Brother Edwin."
